White Essentials For Summers

Namaste!!!

As we all are very much aware of the fact that whites can never go out of fashion. During the 1960's and 70's the pastels and whites were in vogue. White has made a come back from 2014 onward and has set a new trend from clothes to accessories to footwear. It becomes even more essential for us when the weather is so hot and if the weather is hot than why should we remain cold. So gear yourself with these essential whites we all need for this summer.

  1. White Shirt- We have so many options to play with it, with a formal trouser, denims , plazzo pants, skirts and even like a shrug.
  2. White Top- You can again team up the top, jeans , trousers etc but this gives you more feminine look, so if you are in a mood to look more sassy than go for a white top.
  3. White Kurta/Kurti- I personally love wearing ethnic clothes and we have so many options again to play with a white kurta as it can be teamed up with any color leggings, salwar, plazzo, skirt, denims.

  4. White Denims- This gives such a cool yet sheek  look in this hot weather and so many of the actresses are seen in white denims these days. So go for it.
  5. White Cotton Dress - It looks so fun to wear a cotton comfy casual dress in summers. Gives the right summer chic look.
  6. White Maxi Dress-  For the days when you don't want to wear a short dress and look more feminine. Its so comfortable as well.
  7. White Shoes/ Heels - It's the biggest trend since last year. Everywhere and everyone from Hollywood to Bollywood, men or women all can be seen in white shoes. It looks so cool with denims, shorts and short dresses.
  8. White Nail Polish- This year white nail polish has taken over reds and black. It has become so popular in west and spreading in India as well. But nails should be well clipped and shaped then only apply it otherwise it can look weird.

  9. White T-shirt- I think I don't need to describe how important it is for everyone.
  10. White Accessories- Like watch, bags, hairbands, neckpiece, flowery floral white rubber bands, they all look so classy.

Beat the heat and spread the white magic all around :)

Affordable Facewash for Oily/Combination Skin

TOP 5 AFFORDABLE FACEWASH FOR OILY/COMBINATION SKIN: MY PICK

Namaste!!!

I am sharing my favorite face wash which suits me. My face is most of the times oily but sometimes it tends to get sensitive and little dry around my lips and on my cheeks. On my T-zone area its always oily, but in winters the amount of oil decreases. I wish I could use this oil in my car..hehe :p

So as you all know that oil leads to blackheads and whiteheads, and majority of this skin type has to face the problems of acne and pimples, even I was a prey of it. I still get acne on my face when the amount of oil increases on my face. (There can be other causes for acne like dermatitis, pcod, etc). From my teenage only I was facing this problem. I have tried many face washes and sharing my top picks as per my experience till date.

1.) Rejuglow Facewash- Currently I am using this and it has helped alot to eliminate my blackheads and whiteheads as it contains salicylic acid. All the other components in it like glycolic acid and aloevera which makes the skin soft and glowing, vitamin e that helps to reduce the spots. Only problem is that it does not make enough lather, sometimes I have to use it twice. Price- Rs.125 for 60ml and Rs. 250 for 100ml

2.) AHA Glow Facewash- Again a product that contains glycolic acid and aloe vera. These type of products are also suitable for every skin type. But sometimes makes the dry skin little more tight and dry, anyways you can use a moisturizer. This was my first encounter with glycolic acid product and it worked for my skin. It was exactly what I wanted my skin to be like not oily not dry but normal. It has a 1% glycolic acid, so initially you can use this product and then switch to higher %. Price- Rs.115 for 50ml and Rs.200 for 100ml

3.) Cetaphil Facewash for Oily skin/ Sensitive skin- No introduction needed for this one. I think everyone who are struggling with any type of skin problem must be knowing about this amazing product. When your skin becomes really dry, sensitive or oily CETAPHIL is the solution. Give it a try and you will love it. Price- Rs. 180 for 125ml and Rs.350 for 250ml

4.) Fash Facewash- A good facewash for everyday use.Though its mentioned that its for every skin types but it may irritate dry and sensitive skin, but works well for oily skin. Price Rs. 175 for 100ml

5.) Nivea men 10 in 1 Dark spot reduction Facewash- Shocked? The results are shocking as well but in a positive way. This was introduced to me by my friend. She told me to try it once as we both have extremely oily skin. That day I was not carrying my facewash so I used it and it instantly removed all the oil from my face in one wash. It keeps away oil for good 4 to 5 hours. But I will only recommend to use this when you are running out of time and don't want to apply something on your face like in school, college, office etc., where you have to sit for long hours and do not get the time to wash your face or wipe it off frequently. Rs. 95 for 50gm

Keep shinning but without the extra oil on your face :)

CHICKENPOX

Namaste!!!

This post is about chickenpox. I thought to share my experience when I got this as it was very severe and painful and what should be done to save yourself from the pain and scars because you should not repeat the mistake which I did.

I got chickenpox very recently. I am 24 and if you get this infection in your adulthood it might be more painful. In my case it was the most painful thing in my life ever. The pain, the blisters, the scars and marks all were killing me. I was unable to eat or drink as my throat was also infected. I got zillions of blisters all over my body even on my scalp, ears, inside my nose, throat, eyes and the private parts. I am underweight with a weak immune system, so even when I was vaccinated in my childhood I got this infection. People with weak immune system are at higher risk of getting chickenpox in their adulthood.

It all started on 7th of March'16 when I visited someone's place and that place was already infected with chickenpox. On the very next day I got high fever at night. The next day I noticed that I am getting few blisters behind my neck and even on my scalp, still I thought they were some acne or pimples. Then I went to the doctor and she told me that it is chickenpox and she advised me to take paracetamol for fever and cetrazine for itchiness.

And then all the suffering started after 3 days. It became more and more painful and the blisters were growing bigger in size. Neem leaves were kept in my room. Non veg was not allowed at home and there were also other mythological things followed that are associated with chickenpox. But trust me nowadays none of us can follow these things actually. The scars are still haunting me. It's been 3 months now and the marks are still there all over my body. There are around 15 deep scars on my face.

On the second week I applied calamine lotion to calm down the itching and redness and took antibiotics for 2 weeks. Then in the forth week I visited the dermatologist and I was advised to take Microvir and Oriel tablet for 10 days. It did helped to dry the blisters and stop the itching but I wasn't able to see the difference in the scars. So now I have been advised to use Hexilak gel twice a day and I am still using it. There is a bit improvement but the deep scars are still there.

My advice to all, other then the usual things  :-

  • Immediately visit a dermatologist or you can even visit in the first two weeks. The later you visit the late the scars will take to heal.
  • Eat and drink foods that will cool up your body.
  • DO NOT TOUCH OR TRY TO PEEL YOUR SCABS.
  • Take paracetamol when you get high fever .
  • Try not to roam around or sit everywhere in the house as it could lead to infection to others.
  • Start up with your medications to heal your scars as soon as possible and use them as advised to get rid of the scars.
  • Also drink lots of water and try to drink coconut water daily.
  • Include almonds & yogurt in your diet.
Hope you don't get this infection :)
